Dive Equipment
It is the responsibility of all divers to ensure they have correct and adequate equipment required for the particular dive; this includes weight-belts and full cylinders. Where the diver does not own their own equipment they should organise in advance with either Ocean Turtle Dving or the local dive centre to hire any required equipment. If you have any doubts with regard to equipment needs please contact the staff at Ocean Turtle Diving on either 01256 819595 or jaime@oceanturtlediving.com or email the Ocean Turtle Dive Club committee for guidance at club@oceanturtlediving.com
Diver Experience Level
Club members should only participate in diving comensurate with their current level of training. While we aim to cater for all club members, a few trips require a greater degree of dive experience. As a rough guide we have graded dive locations/trips and individual dive sites to allow you to determine your suitability based upon your current level of experience and training.
| Level | Minimum Experience |
| Novice |
Recently qualified Open Water (OW) diver, or diver with little or no experience of UK/temperate water diving. Even for the experienced blue water diver, the UK offers additional challenges and skills to those encountered in blue water diving and supervised orientation dives are strongly recommended when diving UK waters for the first time . |
| Intermediate |
PADI Advanced OW diver with some UK/temperate water diving experience, but wishing to extend their experience and level of comfort on more demanding dives (within the level of their current training). Preferably has speciality training in Drysuit and Deep Diver, and experience of using an SMB and reel. |
| Advanced |
PADI Advanced OW diver or higher qualification with significant UK/temperate water diving experience, and comfortable diving in all conditions. |
If you are uncertain of your suitability for any particular trips please contact Jaime on either 01256 819595 or jaime@oceanturtlediving.com for clarification.
Any additional dive training required for a specific trip can be organised (subject to availability) through Ocean Turtle Diving by contacting Alan on either 01256 819595 or alan@oceanturtlediving.com.
